Have you ever been told to "be authentic" but don't know how to apply authenticity to your business? Do you wonder why authenticity is crucial to building a successful business? A recent study called "2012 Goodpurpose study" noted that "where quality and price were equally the leading purchase driver for 53 percent of consumers was ‘social purpose’." This is vital for business owners to understand! As I mentioned in my last email, you are one of 44,000 real estate agents in the state of Colorado- your clients have a lot of options! When quality and price are the same from one realtor to another, what sets you apart- and raises your quality- is your authenticity.
So what, you may ask, is authenticity in a business? Neil Patel says "simply put, being authentic means staying true to who you are, what you do and who you serve." Authenticity opens the door to unity- creating an opportunity for collaboration!
Take action! Focus on ways you can be more authentic with your clients. Here are some examples for practical authenticity.
1) Love what you do! Remind yourself why you got into this business, what you hope to build, and enjoy the experience!
2) Acknowledge your own weaknesses. Where can you improve? Allowing yourself to grow in those areas can make your business soar to the next level; this is a great time to hire a business coach! Together, we can get to the heart of your business so you can do business your way - authentically.
